Legillium Mass Book (a toolkit for celebrating the Eucharist)
As I promised, here is my book of the legillium: a toolkit of words, introductions and liturgy which I have built up over the years. Please feel free to adopt, adapt and improve for your own use. I find it especially useful when away (ok, at the Shrine) or in a new church to have this to hand.

Introduction to Confession
General
My brothers and sisters, to prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries, let us call to mind our sins.
As we prepare to celebrate the mystery of Christ’s love, let us acknowledge our failures and ask the Lord for pardon and strength.
Coming together as God’s family, with confidence let us ask the Father’s forgiveness, for he is full of gentleness and compassion.
Let us confess our sins in penitence and faith, firmly resolved to keep God’s commandments and to live in love and peace with all people.
Saints
We run the race set before us, surrounded by a great crowd of witnesses. Therefore let us lay aside every weight, and sin, bringing them to Jesus in penitence and faith.
Advent
When the Lord comes,
he will bring to light things now hidden in darkness,
and will disclose the purposes of the heart.
In that light, we confess our sins.
Christmas
The angel said, you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. We confess our sins in penitence and faith.
Epiphany
The grace of God has dawned upon the world
with healing for all.Though we have grieved him, yet he will heal us if we confess our sins in penitence and faith.
Lent
The sacrifice of God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart he will not despise. Our sin is always before us: we acknowledge our transgressions in penitence and faith.
Christ himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds we are healed. Let us confess our sins.
Cross
God shows his love for us in this: while we were still sinners Christ died for us. Sure of reconciliation through the death of his Son, we confess our sins to God.
Ascension
Jesus is our high priest, tempted like us, yet without sin. He lives for ever in heaven to intercede for us. Through him we approach the throne of grace with confidence, and confess our sins.
Healing
The grace of God has dawned upon the world with healing for all. Let us come to him, in sorrow for our sins, seeking healing and salvation.
Family
Jesus said, before you offer your gift, go and be reconciled. As brothers and sisters in God’s family, we come together to ask our Father for forgiveness.
Confessions
Lent, Advent
God of mercy,
we acknowledge that we are all sinners.
We turn from the wrong that we have thought
and said and done,
and are mindful of all that we have failed to do.
For the sake of Jesus Christ, who died for us,
forgive us for all that is past,
and help us to live each day
in the light of Christ our Lord. Amen
Christmas Easter, Reconciliation
Father,
we have sinned against heaven and against you.
We are not worthy to be called your children.
We turn to you again.
Have mercy on us,
bring us back to yourself
as those who once were dead
but now have life through Christ our Lord. Amen
Ordinary Time
Almighty God, our heavenly Father,
we have sinned against you,
through our own fault,
in thought, and word, and deed,
and in what we have left undone.
We are heartily sorry, and repent of all our sins.
For your Son our Lord Jesus Christ’s sake,
forgive us all that is past;
and grant that we may serve you in newness of life
to the glory of your name. Amen.
Confession
I confess to Almighty God
and to you, my brothers and sisters,
that I have sinned
through my own fault (all strike their breast)
in my thoughts and in my words,
in what I have done and in what I have failed to do;
and I ask Blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
all the angels and saints,
and you, my brothers and sisters,
to pray for me to the Lord our God.

Peace
We are the body of Christ,
by the one Spirit
we were baptized into one body
Let us then pursue all that makes for peace
and builds up the common life.
Lord Jesus Christ, you said to your apostles:
I leave you peace, my peace I give you.
Look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church, and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom where you live for ever and ever. Amen.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you are called to peace.
Saints
We are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, though Christ our Lord who came and preached peace to those who were far off and those who were near.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace.
If we live in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit.
Easter
The risen Christ came and stood among his disciples and said, Peace be with you! Then were they glad when they saw the Lord.
The Peace of the Lord be always with you
And also with you
Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Christ came and proclaimed the Gospel, peace to those who are far off and peace to those who are near.
Now in union with Christ Jesus
you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of Christ’s blood; for he is our peace.
Peace to you from God our heavenly Father,
Peace from his Son Jesus Christ who is our peace.
Peace from the Holy Spirit the life giver.
Jesus says: Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives give I unto you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
Being justified by faith, we have peace with God though our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Peace of the Lord be always with you
And also with you
Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Lent
Being justified by faith, we have peace with God though our Lord Jesus Christ.
Christ is our peace.
He has reconciled us to God
in one body by the Cross.
We meet in his name and share his peace.
Now in union with Christ Jesus you who were once far off have been brought near through the shedding of Christ’s blood for he is our peace.
The Peace of the Lord be always with you
And also with you
Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Advent
In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high has broken upon us, to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet in the way of peace.
God has made us one in Christ. He has set his seal upon us, and as a pledge of what is to come has given the Spirit to dwell in our hearts.
Our Saviour Christ is the Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts
to which you are called as members of one body.
Unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given:
and his name is called the Prince of Peace:
May the God of peace make you perfect and
holy, that you may be kept safe and blameless in spirit, soul and body, for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Peace of the Lord be always with you
And also with you
Let us offer each other the sign of peace.
Preparation of the Table
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation;
through your goodness we have this bread to offer,
which earth has given and human hands have made.
May it become for us the bread of life.
Blessed be God for ever.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation;
through your goodness we have this wine to offer,
fruit of the vine and fruit of human hands.
May it become for us the cup of salvation.
Blessed be God for ever.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation;
through your goodness we have this bread to set before you,
which earth has given and human hands have made.
May it become for us the bread of life.
Blessed be God for ever.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation;
through your goodness we have this wine to set before you,
fruit of the vine and fruit of human hands.
May it become for us the cup of salvation.
Blessed be God for ever.
Pray, my dear friends that this our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all the Church
Be gentle
When you
Touch bread.
Let it not lie
Uncared for,
Unwanted
So often bread
Is taken for granted.
There is such beauty in bread,
Beauty of sun and soil,
Beauty of patient toil.
Wind and rain have caressed it,
Christ often blessed it.
Be gentle when you touch bread
Be careful
When you
Pour wine.
Let it not be
Overlooked,
Disregarded
So often wine
Is taken for granted.
There is such beauty in wine:
The sweetness of love,
The power of blood.
Wind and rain have raised it,
Christ often blessed it.
Be careful when you pour wine
Pray, my dear friends that this our sacrifice may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all the Church
Eucharistic Prayer B
Lord, you are holy indeed, the source of all holiness;
grant that by the power of your Holy Spirit,
and according to your holy will,
these gifts of bread and wine
may be to us the body and blood
of our Lord Jesus Christ;
who, in the same night that he was betrayed,
took bread and gave you thanks;
he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:
Take, eat; this is my body
which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of me.
In the same way, after supper
he took the cup and gave you thanks;
he gave it to them, saying:
Drink this, all of you;
this is my blood of the new covenant,
which is shed for you and for all
for the forgiveness of sins.
Do this, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me.
Let us proclaim the mystery of faith…
And so, Father, calling to mind his death on the cross,
his perfect sacrifice made once for the sins
of the whole world;
rejoicing in his mighty resurrection
and glorious ascension,
and looking for his coming in glory,
we celebrate this memorial of our redemption.
As we offer you this our sacrifice
of praise and thanksgiving,
we bring before you this bread and this cup
and we thank you for counting us worthy
to stand in your presence and serve you.
Send the Holy Spirit on your people
and gather into one in your kingdom
all who share this one bread and one cup,
so that we, in the company of
Our Blesséd Lady, St. Anne, St Cecilia and St Edward,
[along with St. N]
andall the saints,
may praise and glorify you for ever,
through Jesus Christ our Lord;
by whom, and with whom, and in whom,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all honour and glory be yours, almighty Father,
for ever and ever.
All Amen.
The Mass continues with the Lord’s Prayer
Prayer II (South African Prayer IV)
Lord, you are holy indeed,
the fountain of all holiness.
Let your Spirit come upon these gifts
to make them holy,
so that they may become for us
the body and blood of our Lord, Jesus Christ
Before he was given up to death,
a death he freely accepted,
he took bread and gave you thanks.
He broke the bread, gave it to his disciples,
and said:
Take this, all of you, and eat it:
this is my body which will be given up for you.
When supper was ended, he took the cup.
Again he gave you thanks and praise,
gave the cup to his disciples, and said:
Take this, all of you, and drink from it:
this is the cup of my blood,
the blood of the new
and everlasting covenant.
It will be shed for you and for ALL
so that sins may be forgiven.
Do this in memory of me.
Let us proclaim the mystery of faith:
In memory of his death and resurrection
we offer you, Father, this life-giving bread,
this saving cup.
We thank you for counting us worthy
to stand in your presence and serve you.
May all of us who share in the
body and blood of Christ
be brought together in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
Lord, remember your Church throughout the world,
make us grow in love, together with
N, our Bishop and all the clergy.
Remember our brothers and sisters
who have gone to their rest
in the hope of rising again;
bring them and all the departed
into the light of your presence.
Have mercy on us all;
make us worthy to share eternal life
with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God,
St. Anne, St Cecilia and St Edward, [and Saint N],
with the apostles,
and all the saints
who have done your will throughout the ages.
May we praise you in union with them
and give you glory through your Son, Jesus Christ.
Through him, with him, in him,
In the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all glory and honour is yours, almighty Father,
for ever and ever. Amen
Eucharistic Prayer E
We praise and bless you, loving Father,
through Jesus Christ, our Lord;
and as we obey his command,
send your Holy Spirit,
that broken bread and wine outpoured
may be for us the + body and blood of your dear Son.
On the night before he died he had supper with his friends
and, taking bread, he praised you.
He broke the bread, gave it to them and said:
Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of me.
When supper was ended he took the cup of wine.
Again he praised you, gave it to them and said:
Drink this, all of you;
this is my blood of the new covenant,
which is shed for you and for all
for the forgiveness of sins.
Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.
So, Father, we remember all that Jesus did,
in him we plead with confidence his sacrifice
made once for upon the cross.
Bringing before you the bread of life and cup of salvation,
we proclaim his death and resurrection
until he comes in glory.
[Memorial Acclamation]
Lord of all life,
help us to work together for that day
when your kingdom comes
and justice and mercy will be seen in the earth.
Look with favour on your people,
gather us in your loving arms
and bring us with Mary, the Virgin Mother of God,
St. Anne, St Cecilia and St Edward, [Saint N],
And all the saints
to feast at your table in heaven.
Through Christ, and with Christ, and in Christ,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
All honour and glory are yours, O loving Father,
for ever and ever.
Amen.

Lord’s Prayer
Our Father,
who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come;
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Deliver us, Lord, from every evil,
and grant us peace in our day.
In your mercy keep us free from sin
and protect us from all anxiety
as we wait in joyful hope
for the coming of our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen

That is quite comprehensive. It is very good but I may slim it down a little as I am a bear of little brain.
