Background Music: Eno
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit Amen
The Lord be with you and also with you
My Dear Friends, tonight we gather to worship Almighty God our heavenly Father, on this day that the Church recognises the transfiguration of our Lord on Mount Tabor: when we gained a glimpse of his divinity amidst his humanity.
Before our very eyes, Christ is transformed and through that, so we are transformed: the ordinary made extraordinary
Christ takes what we are and makes something new, he forms us into something different, and asks that the yeast of his holy spirit might transform us. Let us begin this work of transformation by working our sin into this malleable dough, working it out, so that we might be transformed.

Almighty God, who forgives all those who truly repent
Pardon & deliver you from all your sins

Slide: Collect
Let us pray…
God our Father,
in the transfigured glory of Christ your Son,
you strengthen our faith by confirming the witness of your prophets,
and show us the splendour of your beloved sons and daughters.
As we listen to the voice of your Son, help us to become heirs to eternal life with him
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

Hear the holy Gospel according to Mark
Glory to you, O Lord
Mark 9:2-10
Jesus took with him Peter and James and John and led them up a high mountain where they could be alone by themselves.
There in their presence he was transfigured: his clothes became dazzlingly white, whiter than any earthly bleacher could make them. Elijah appeared to them with Moses; and they were talking with Jesus.
Then Peter spoke to Jesus: ‘Rabbi,’ he said ‘it is wonderful for us to be here; so let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah.’ He did not know what to say; they were so frightened. And a cloud came, covering them in shadow; and there came a voice from the cloud, ‘This is my Son, the Beloved. Listen to him.’ Then suddenly, when they looked round, they saw no one with them any more but only Jesus.
As they came down from the mountain he warned them to tell no one what they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead. They observed the warning faithfully, though among themselves they discussed what ‘rising from the dead’ could mean.
This is the Gospel of the Lord
Thanks be to God
What do you want to become? To become more Christlike. The challenge of the Christian life is to seek to see the face of Christ in others and pray that they may see his face reflected in ours. In this meditation, I encourage you to move to a station, and place yourself so that you can see both the image of Christ and your face in the mirror, and reflect on what he calls you to do. Feel free to experience more than one ikon of Christ

Video: Bubbles
begin clear text, then bring up as I say the words
The bubbles remind us of God, infinite in variety, beautiful in shape, perfect in form.
God the Father, created the bubbles and the universe & each and every one of us.
Do you believe this? Yes!
God the Son, Saviour of us all,
breathed the same air as us on this earth,
the same air with which you fill these bubbles,
lives today in our hearts.
Do you believe this? Yes!
God the Spirit, who powers these bubbles,
which fills this space with power from on high
plays with us and strengthens us
Do you believe this? Yes!

Slide: Peace
Christ is our peace, he has reconciled us to God in one body by his Cross. We meet in his name and we share his peace
The Peace of the Lord be always with you
and also with you
Let us offer one another that sign of peace
Slide: Be Gentle
Be gentle
When you
Touch bread.
Let it not lie
Uncared for,
Unwanted
So often bread
Is taken for granted.
There is such beauty in bread,
Beauty of sun and soil,
Beauty of patient toil.
Wind and rain have caressed it,
Christ often blessed it.
Be gentle when you touch bread
Be careful
When you
Pour wine.
Let it not be
Overlooked,
Disregarded
So often wine
Is taken for granted.
There is such beauty in wine:
The sweetness of love,
The power of blood.
Wind and rain have raised it,
Christ often blessed it.
Be careful when you pour wine
Slide: Pray Brothers and Sisters
Pray, my dear friends that this our sacrifice may be acceptable to
God, the Almighty Father
May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands, for the praise and glory of his name, for our good and the good of all the Church
Eucharistic Prayer B
Numbers in the text refer to the numbers on screen
IT’S RISING UP from coast to coast,
From north to south, and east to west;
The cry of hearts that love Your name,
Which with one voice we will proclaim.
The Lord be with you
and also with you
Lift up your hearts
We lift them to the Lord
Let us give thanks to the Lord, our God
It is right to give thanks and praise.
The former things have taken place,
Can this be the new day of praise?
A heavenly song that comes to birth,
And reaches out to all the earth.
(1) Father, all-powerful and ever-living God,
we do well always and everywhere to give You thanks
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(2)He revealed His glory to the disciples
to strengthen them for the scandal of the cross.
(3)his glory shone from a body like our own,
to show that the Church,
(4)which is the body of Christ,
would one day share His glory.
(5) In our unending joy we echo on earth
the song of the angels in heaven as they praise Your glory for ever.
Oh, let the cry to nations ring,
That all may come and all may sing:
‘Holy is the Lord.’ (Every heart sing:)
‘Holy is the Lord.’ (With one voice sing:)
‘Holy is the Lord.’ (Every heart sing:)
‘Holy is the Lord.’
(6) Lord, you are holy indeed, the source of all holiness;
(7) grant that by the power of your Holy Spirit,
and according to your holy will,
these gifts of bread and wine
may be to us the +body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ;
(8) who, in the same night that he was betrayed,
took bread and gave you thanks;
he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:
Take, eat; this is my body
which is given for you;
do this in remembrance of me. (Bells)
(9) In the same way, after supper
he took the cup and gave you thanks;
he gave it to them, saying:
Drink this, all of you;
this is my blood of the new covenant,
which is shed for you and for all
for the forgiveness of sins.
(10) Do this, as often as you drink it,
in remembrance of me. (Bells)
(11) And so, Father, calling to mind his death on the cross,
his perfect sacrifice made once for the sins
of the whole world;
rejoicing in his mighty resurrection
and glorious ascension,
and looking for his coming in glory,
we celebrate this memorial of our redemption.
(12) As we offer you this our sacrifice
of praise and thanksgiving,
we bring before you this bread and this cup
and we thank you for counting us worthy
to stand in your presence and serve you.
(13) Send the Holy Spirit on your people
and gather into one in your kingdom
all who share this one bread and one cup,
so that we, in the company of
Our Blessed Lady, St Anne, St Cecilia, St Edward
and all the saints,
may praise and glorify you for ever,
through Jesus Christ our Lord;
And we have heard the Lion’s roar,
That speaks of heaven’s love and power.
Is this the time, is this the call
That ushers in Your kingdom rule?
(14) by whom, and with whom, and in whom,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
all honour and glory be yours, almighty Father,
for ever and ever.
Oh, let the cry to nations ring,
That all may come and all may sing:
‘Jesus is alive.’ (Every heart sing:)
‘Jesus is alive.’ (With one voice sing:)
‘Jesus is alive.’ (Every heart sing:)
‘Jesus is alive.’
Amen
